How to create a PowerPoint with AI

AI can generate slides quickly. The real work is giving those slides a point of view, a credible narrative, and enough visual discipline that an audience can follow the argument.

What to decide before generating slides

Write a short presentation brief that answers five questions:

How to review an AI-generated deck

Run the title-only test

Hide the body content and read the slide titles in order. They should form a clear argument. Titles such as “Market Overview” label a topic; “Mid-market teams are consolidating AI tools” communicates a finding.

Check every number and quotation

Open the underlying sources and verify units, dates, denominators, and context. Remove any statistic that cannot be traced. A visually impressive chart does not make unsupported data trustworthy.

Reduce cognitive load

Shorten text, remove duplicate points, and choose one focal element per slide. Detailed evidence can move to speaker notes or an appendix without weakening the main story.

Review accessibility
